finding meaning in the whimsical and absurd.

Operatic Soprano

As a lyric soprano, Logan’s recent operatic appearances include Elvira (Rosśa Crean’s The Times are Nightfall - a continuation of the opera Don Giovanni from the perspective of Elvira and Anna - Philadelphia Premiere), Despina (Così fan tutte - Capitol Opera Harrisburg), and Sister Constance (Dialogues of the Carmelites (English) - Delaware Valley Opera Company).

A dependable musician, Logan has learned roles quickly, often jumping in at the last minute to cover; both Despina and Sister Constance were learned and performed in less than three weeks. She also loves the chance to get campy and creative, and to do gender-bended roles, like a Grisette in The Merry Widow and Cochenille & Pitichinaccio in Les contes d’Hoffmann.

Other favorite operatic roles include Musetta in La bohème, Juliette in Roméo et Juliette, Antonia in Les contes d’Hoffmann, and various roles in Suor Angelica

In opera chorus settings, she’s performed with Grand Harmonie in a period-instrument accompanied production of Fidelio, Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea in a production of La bohème, and currently performs with the chorus of Boheme Opera NJ.

As a concert soloist, she’s appeared as the Soprano Soloist for Brahms Requiem, Soprano Soloist for Faure Requiem, and Treble Soloist for Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, Rejoice in the Lamb, & Festival Te Deum.

Logan is a sought after recitalist. For Hub City Opera and Dance Company, she appeared in their social-distanced 2020 multidisciplinary art song, poetry, and dance film recital UN\ROOTED, a Facebook live recital, soloist for their production of Goyescas, and for educational outreach programs. She also presented a lecture recital with Libby Larsen’s Try Me Good King, singing the piece and presenting on the musical motifs and historical context of the music, at the first Tudorcon (convention of all things Tudor!) in 2019. She has also appeared for virtual and educational outreach programs for Wilmington Concert Opera, and Greatest Hits recitals with Capitol Opera Harrisburg and Berks Opera Company. She has performed at Opera Night at Media’s Fellini Cafe since 2021 - check it out, they have opera every Monday night!

Growing up a musical theater kid, Logan always loves the opportunity to jump into a production, and was recently seen as Rapunzel in Into the Woods and in the choir ensemble of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

She can also be seen around the tristate area during the winter holiday season as a caroler with Olde Towne Carolers. If you spot her out in December, she will more than likely be wearing a Charles Dickens-esque costume.

As a chorister, Logan sings professionally as both a soprano and an alto, with a large and flexible range that can fit anywhere.

Church experience: She’s currently the alto section leader at St. Timothy’s Episcopal in Roxborough, and was previously the alto section leader at Doylestown Presbyterian Church (2022-2024), soprano section leader at Old St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Philly (2020-2022), cantor at Annunciation BVM in Havertown (2020-2022), and soprano section leader at Calvary Episcopal in Summit, NJ (2016-2020).

Choral experience: She’s currently an alto section leader for The Choristers, professional soprano member of The Philadelphia Chorale, and professional soprano and alto member of the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir. She has also performed with the Chestnut Street Singers (2019-2022 - and was a board member from 2020-2022), the Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia, Vox Humana in West Grove, PA, Rise Up Chorus in New Brunswick, NJ, Summit Chorale in Summit, NJ, Haverford-Bryn Mawr Chorale, and Princeton Pro Musica.

Logan is a graduate of Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ, with a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance (summa cum laude). While at Westminster, she performed twice at Carnegie Hall (once with The Philadelphia Orchestra, and once with the Berlin Philharmonic); additional works with the Westminster Symphonic Choir include two Deutsche Grammophon recorded works with The Philadelphia Orchestra - Bernstein Mass and Mahler Symphony No. 8. Another favorite with The Philadelphia Orchestra was Mahler Symphony No. 2. Also during her time at Westminster, she performed as La Fée in Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon,  Ilia in Idomeneo (scenes), Second Lady in Die Zauberflöte (scenes), sang in Florence, Italy, and attended the OperaWorks program.
